Shipping
How your part gets to you
Engines and transmissions ship by freight carrier, strapped to a pallet, from the nearest Yards & Parts warehouse to your repair shop or home.
Cost
Freight cost is shown on your quote before you pay, so there are no surprises at delivery.
Delivery time
Most orders arrive in 5–7 business days after your order is confirmed. Weather, holidays and remote addresses can add time.
You get a tracking number when the part ships.
Shop or home delivery
- Repair shop or business: usually the simplest option. Shops have a forklift or loading dock and the mechanic can inspect the part on arrival.
- Home: the carrier calls to set a delivery window. Someone needs to be there to sign. An engine or transmission typically weighs a few hundred pounds, so plan how it will be moved.
When it arrives
- Check the part and packaging before you sign.
- Write any damage on the delivery receipt. “Subject to inspection” alone isn’t enough.
- Take photos and contact us the same day.
