Warranty
3-year parts warranty, in plain English
Read this before you install. Following these steps keeps your warranty valid.
The short version
- Standard coverage: 3-year parts warranty. The warranty for your part is written on your quote and invoice.
- Covers the core internal parts. Doesn’t cover accessories, labor, towing or rental cars.
- Install within 15 days of delivery at a licensed repair shop and keep the receipts.
- If something goes wrong: stop driving, get a diagnosis, contact us within 5 business days.
What’s covered
Engines: the engine block, cylinder head(s) and internal parts, including pistons, crankshaft, camshaft(s), connecting rods, main bearings, valves and oil pump.
Transmissions: the transmission’s internal parts. The exact covered parts for your transmission are written on your quote.
What’s not covered
- Bolt-on accessories that come attached for convenience: sensors, switches, wiring and harnesses, manifolds, belts, hoses, valve covers, flywheels and flexplates.
- Turbochargers and superchargers, unless your quote says they’re covered.
- Appearance (cosmetic condition) and mileage. We give you the mileage the yard records, but it can’t be guaranteed.
- Labor, towing, rental cars, lost income or any other cost beyond the part itself.
What your installer needs to do
To keep the warranty valid, a licensed repair shop or ASE-certified mechanic must install the part and give you an itemized receipt that shows:
- Installation within 15 days of delivery.
- For engines: a new water pump, thermostat and timing belt (if the engine has one), installed at the same time.
- Oil and filter changed at installation and again at 1,000 miles, then maintenance on the manufacturer’s schedule.
- The odometer reading at installation.
How to make a claim
- Stop driving the vehicle as soon as you notice a problem. Continuing to drive can void the claim.
- Get a written diagnosis from a licensed repair shop.
- Send it to us within 5 business days, with your installation receipt.
- Don’t take the part apart or repair it until we’ve approved it in writing. Unapproved disassembly voids the warranty.
- Once the claim is approved, we replace the part with one of the same kind or refund what you paid for it.
Limits
Our responsibility is limited to replacing the part or refunding its purchase price.
